Using Blogger to Host a WebComic

group photo of the bench comic template
I've been working on creating a webcomic using Blogspot as a host. I started off with a Classic Minima template and altered it to displays each new strip at the top of the page. I added a I-frame of another blog that allows me to add news or notes for a specfic strip. I sized the main portion so that it utlizes the entire page width, which enabled me to add three sidebars that display below the footer. This created a area to add links, character bio's and Adsence. Check it out here

Also, if you want to help with my drive to get traffic, links to http://the-bench.blogspot.com are very much appreceated. You can easily copy and paste this code to your side bar to produce a text link to "The Bench"

<a href="http://the-bench.blogspot.com">The Bench(Webcomic)</a>

By placing a link to this site you are entitled to use any of the strips you like on your own blog. Thanks for the support!

How to make a new sidebar on the left.
I have one on the right

Ivan, creating an additional sidebar can be quite complex depending on what template you are dealing with.

I suggest you start with a template that already has 3 columns such as the one that blogatech was built off of. You can find a copy of it here .

Hey, I love your web-comic. I started making a semi-web-comic semi-blog semi-drama, and I was wondering whether

1. I could have the design code to use it for my blog, and
2. Whether, if I linked to yours, you could link to mine. I have a pitiful amount of traffic on both of my blogs (one I just started, the other I started last year), and I've no idea how else to improve it. If you've got any ideas, that would be very welcome as well.

Hey Stratman. I have a webcomic called Hit Pts.(http://hitpts.blogspot.com/). Is there a simple way to alter a template so that each new strip appears at the top of the page. I looked at the source code for The Bench and just don't know where to start. Thanks

I love your webcomic. You've done a great job on its art work and punchline delivery. I only ask if by any chance is there a way to navigate thru your strips other than the drop down list?

also if your interested check out my webcomic too
